Two-pole motor

Two-pole motor:

The terminology two-pole is derived from the fact that there are two magnetic poles (north and south) generated by an electromagnetic field. With a two-pole machine, the motor has a synchronous RPM of 3600 at a power supply frequency of 60 hertz.
